When you first sign up to create an online account on SamsClub.com, you will be asked to supply an email address and a password as unique ways to identify yourself, and protect access to your profile. While it is not convenient to change the email address associated with your account, changing your Sam's Club password only takes a few steps. Note that you can go through a verification process to reset your password on SamsClub.com by following this link, but it is a lot easier to do if you still remember your old password.
How do I change my SamsClub.com password?
Start by opening a web browser (like Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.), and navigate to samsclub.com:
- When you land on the homepage, click on the "Member Sign in" link in the top right corner:

- Enter your email address and your current password, and click on the "Sign In" button. You will be redirected to your default account page; move your mouse over the "Manage Profile" menu at the top of the page, and select "User ID / Password" from the dropdown menu:

- In the next screen, click on the "Update" button next to your "Current user ID", and you'll reach a security page that requests the last four digits of the primary card holder's social security number: type them in and click on "Continue".
- The page that loads will contain two sections; the second one is labeled "Change Password", and shows to empty text fields. (The first section allows you to change your login ID for SamsClub.com, if you want to - but you don't need to if all you want is a new password!)
- Type the new password to which you want to change in the first text field, and type it a second time for confirmation. Notice that SamsClub.com passwords must contain at least 7 characters, of which at least one should be a letter, and at least another should be a number: this is simply a security measure designed to make your password harder to guess by hackers.

- The last portion of that screen is called "Change Challenge Question": this allows you to submit information that will be checked when you try to reset your password (what will happen when you use the password reset process linked in the first paragraph). You do not need to pick a new challenge question, but you can do it at the same time if you want.
- Either way, once you've entered your new password, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom, and your new credentials will be saved: since the change is effective immediately, remember to start using it right away, from this and other computers.
Tip: it is a good idea to change your password (with Sam's Club and other online accounts) on a regular basis, just to keep hackers on their toes! Always make these kind of changes from a computer you trust, like your home PC / Mac.
